About Chelsea Jacobs

Dublin-based artist Chelsea Jacobs is an American contemporary painter, street artist and sculptor. Since earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa, her focus has shifted from classical figure sculpture to interpreting global fights for human rights, racial and gender equality, mental illness, addiction, and sustainability against forces of oppression and apathy. Her work explores these concepts through various stylistic interpretations, often using salvaged and unconventional materials, mixed-media techniques, and genre-bending.

She resides in Sandymount with her partner Rachel, beloved dog Luka, and high-maintenance cat Coco Chanel.
